Hey,
I'm spending Christmas with my family and (soon to be) in-laws near Llangollen (LL20 7BG to be precise).
Just wondering if anyone knows of any winter stuff available NEARBY (would love to drive into Snowdonia, but not really an option).
Ideally somewhere that I can convince the oldies is a nice place to go for a walk, and "oh, look at that ice route, lucky I brought my gear with me" sort of thing.
No dry tooling suggestions please, doesn't float my boat.
A search on UKC for nearby crags did throw up Pistyll Rhaeadr (the only route listed is Craig mwn Gully). Anyone have any info on this? Current conditions?
Any helpful suggestions gratefully received.
