I love my superflys for climbing, but want to change them into a two handle axe, so that I can share on one axe, i.e. a hook/trigger further up the axe for the second hand.

Has anyone come across anything that makes this modification easier?

Cheers
Mat

In reply to mat_galvin: Hi Mat, there are quite a few threads where people have modified axes to go leashless by adding sliders & triggers - I can't see why you could't used the same idea to make a grip for a second hand. Needlesports have some stuff from grivel which looks like it may work http://www.needlesports.com/acatalog/Mail_Order_Axes_33.html . Alternatively, you could use jubilee clips to hold the 2nd set of slider / triggers on the axe shaft.

For the grip you could use bike inner tube, tennis racket grip or self amalgamating tape.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Dave
