As a member of NEWSAR (North East Wales Search and Rescue) I hope we don't ever meet professionally, but if you do have an accident in the Egwlseg area (or any of the quarries of NE Wales) NEWSAR is there to help. Call 999/112 and ask for Police and then Mountain Rescue.
We attended an accident with a fallen climber at Dinbren this evening. Later I briefly visited her in hospital to see how she was and get back some of our gear that went off with the RAF heli. I am pleased to report she seemed to be fairly OK, given her unfortunate fall.
Thank you to the casualty for permission to use the photos taken.
A big thanks to the Welsh Ambulance Service crew and most especially to the crew of Rescue 122, C Flight 22 Sqn RAF Valley for some great flying, fantastic casualty care and a swift evacuation. Walking off with a stretcher from the middle tier at Dinbren would have been "interesting"!
