I climb to enjoy the mountains, so don't mind a walk in or a bit of inclement weather, I just enjoy getting out. I enjoy overseas climbing trips and have travelled widely in the pursuit of great lines and virgin peaks. Trips have taken me to South Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Tajikistan, Alaska and Afghanistan to name but a few. I also travel to explore and non-climbing trips have included cycle touring in Malawi and travelling overland from Kathmandu to London through Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus. Also quite keen on skiing especially ski touring.
I work as a freelance outdoor instructor alongside writing a PhD in Glacial Geomorphology at the University of Sheffield. I usually lead a couple of overseas expeditions each year.
