I've been climbing for over 50 years. I enjoy all disciplines of climbing but only tolerate indoors and bouldering. I have climbed to E5 in the UK and almost completed the Six "Grande Courses" in the alps (the N.Face of the Eiger has stopped me twice due to bad weather). These days my best is likely to be E3 but as I have got older I appreciate the added security of bolts and the warmth of Europe more and more. Despite this I am a traditionalist at heart and climb on bolts as opposed to sport climb. I would rather give up climbing than spend a day on a single pitch working the moves.
