Great photo (aren't they all) - I'm confused by the lighting though... Lots of foreground light, but it doesn't look like a flash... how did you get it like this?

I did pull the levels about a bit in PS, but there is a remarkable amount of foreground detail in the untouched original (could post it on SmugMug if you like). It helped that it was a while after sunset, so the exposure was fairly long and the contrast muted. The whole set is on cheapskate unbranded negative film, so it's doubly fortunate that the results are usable.
Oh, and the (ex)milk bottle (cheap water carrier in fact) - I did consider cloning it out but thought, hey, it's a record of a camp, not a work of art.
