Great example of an end moraine (picked out in light below the corrie). This was the limit of a 'Loch Lomond Readvance' glacier 12,000 years ago.

Thanks for putting this up Raph - it's possibly my favourite view (in the British Isles). I've had some awesome long runs in and through Fisherfield and for - like nowhere else in the UK - captures true ruggedness, grandeur and isolation. Made me very happy !
