Reminds me of plastic ice

When I belayed Henning up this bit, I had two pieces in at the cave where the belayer in the picture is standing. One was a nut at the back of the crack; the other was a sling round an icicle. The nut was OK, but when I went to take the sling off the icicle, I just flicked my wrist and the icicle fell apart.
Such is winter gear.
