But he could centre the backboard (for structural reasons) and offset the fingerboard to meet your point.

The soft curves on this are part woman, part any pupae. Truly an image for the modern age. The olive green wall in the background adds the suggestion of a room which is not in the frame, a life beyond climbing, a realm just out of reach and as yet undiscovered... Magnificent.
