As a local, I have to say that this photo is so much better than most of the drivel printed on postcards down here - this could be making you some dosh, if you were that way inclined

Fantastic picture! Can you straighten up the horizon?

Top shot, can you remember how long it was exposed for?

The shot was taken at f8 for 30 seconds with an iso speed of 200 at the 10mm end of the lens. The original image was quite dark but I have lightened it a fair bit. I took longer exposures but found that on these the clouds were too blurred across the whole sky. I quite like the blur in closest clouds which apparently fades on the futher away clouds. The shot was taken at about 3.00 am on the morning after I took the photos of the storm at Sennen. The sea was still high and it was very windy. Although I chose a position that was fairly sheltered there was still a lot of spray in the air. On some of the longer exposures I had problems with this building up on the lens and some shots were spoiled due to this.

Popped this on my desktop at my (Cornish) place of work - had a lot of comments on it, all of them very positive. I'd repeat the comment (see 1st post) about this being a dosh-maker.

Stuart first of all congratulations on receiving photo of the week!
Secondly I was actually curious as to the stars in the upper right of the photo and which constellation they were from. Once again great shot.
