With the walk from Beinn an Tuim to Streap more knackering than I'd bargained for, each top higher and each dip deeper than the last, followed by a brutal slog up the flank of Thuilm, I was looking forward keenly to getting the tent up on the summit. Then - disaster! - there was another tent already in occupation. A wary exchange of greetings, but etiquette demanded withdrawal to another top, and B.Gharbh did very nicely. On Sgurr na Meirleach next night, then along the knobbly ridge to Tarbet, and back by boat and train. They don't seem to make weekends like that any more.
