Traversed Sgulaird from Druimavuic, intending to camp on the summit, but sleet showers on a bitter wind dissuaded. Slept for a few hours, then made the mistake of poking my head out to see what was what. Bugger - there will be more sunsets, more full moons, but no more Hale-Bopps, so out into the freezing night air with tripod. Dedicated or what?

Reminds me of a similar night - all the human experience and imaginings under Hale-Bopp, now as remote and unrevisitable as the comet itself. You should publish a book of your travels with a Phoxhole.
