took this shot from the grand montets cable car station with an old SLR. it was pretty dark, and i think the shutter speed was around 10 seconds. its an old picture (not a slide) that i scanned in at work on a crap scanner. my own opinion is that the graininess and soft focus adds greatly to the feel. cheers for the praise, and to those who dont like it - oh well. sorry.

the quality of light is so intruising, the fact that the time of day and the time of year, i guess just after/about sunset, high summer, and yet there is large amount of light coming from the south, (early moon?), coupled with the intense glow of chamonix. Very atmospheric and outweighs any composition changes that could be made. Rescan and pshop it, deserves it.
