Fantastic photo, is the 350d full frame -- the lens looks pretty wide open, but I suppose I could belive it was 15 mm on a normal 35 mm frame.
TP - 03/Mar/06
The 350d is not full frame it's 1.6x was taken at 10mm so more it really 16mm, I also cropped the originall.

Is it me, or do the icicles and gear on his harness indicate that the picture is severely tilted, giving the impression that the climbing is much more challenging than it really is?
kevin stephens - 04/Mar/06
yeh tis slightly tiled tis how it came out the cam tho

I have many winter climbing pictures and it is really hard to take good pics in the conditions found in UK, while also on a belay. A good many appear tilted but it is not done on purpose - what I am trying to say is dont worry about the odd tilted winter shot, just appreciate the effort that someone has gone to, taking off frozen gloves, leaning out on a dodgy ice screw to get the shot? Spindrift, wind, dodging falling ice, not dropping the lense cap/camera - all while holding the rope too!

The image is fantastic, 5*, I agree its often very tough to get winter images, especially having the willingness to carry the bulk of more than a point and shoot...but the border is tacky IMHO.
