Lovely, somehow the lighting on this makes it look like a Wee Jamie painting, especially on a smartphone screen, so I have to zoom in to check.

Thank you all. There was a dense bank of cloud out over Porthmadog Bay which diffused the light dramatically. It drowned out any sun before it set unfortunately.
