Absolutely superb. This is one of the best pictures I've seen, ever, let alone on this site. Thanks for submitting it. Please ... how did you do it? - camera type, settings, etc, etc.

Thank you, Tony - glad you like it. This sort of shot's a piece of toffee with the OM2 - overexpose by 1 or 2 stops to allow for reciprocity failure, set up a few candles where the camera can't see them (for a little fill-in), and let the auto-exposure get on with it. Oh, and hope the sitter doesn't sneeze or hiccup for the duration - about 30 to 120 seconds I should think, I've never really counted.

I really like this one, it's just like an Old painting in an art gallery. Do you carry a Tripod with you for these shots, or just find something stable and improvise?

A light and cheap but functional tripod (Jessop's Atlantic Alfa 3) more or less lives in my pack. At 20oz it isn't a great imposition, and it works its passage when the daylight dims.

Fantastic. Reminds me of 'The Blacksmiths shop' by Joseph Wright of Derby (and a lot of his other atmospherically lit paintings)
