Incredible that Joe Brown launched up this on the first ascent in 1948, probably in bendy boots (?)

I attempted this in 1956 in bendy boots! It was all friable flakes then. I was marooned just about where the climber in the photo is. A rope was lowered to me and I swung into Greeny Gut! I think it was VS then.
