I'm afraid the effectiveness of this picture is reduced for me by being overworked in Photoshop, in that it just doesn't ring true. It's drastically oversaturated and slightly unbalanced, so that there's an unnatural feeling about the slighty green (yes!) sky, and blue/magenta foreground clouds.

Ouch ! That's one of my favourites you're slating, Gordon, but coming from (IMO) the best landscape photographer in the country I have to take the criticism seriously. I was a total novice at PS when I did this one (push-this-and-see-what-happens stage) - I'll revisit it and try to address the issues you raise. The blueness of the clouds I think may be a result of under- rather than over-PSing - I hadn't discovered the magic of Auto Clour-correct which I now use, or at least try, routinely to remove the blue-violet cast which afflicts most of my mountain Kodachromes. I've got a 12x16" machine print made before (perhaps) PS was invented and there is a hint of green in the sky there too.
Thanks for taking the trouble to comment.

This is a revised version, with some adjustment in the light of Gordon's comments.
