I agree, this is lovely. As well as all the other drama, I really like the illusion of waves breaking on a beach where no beach can be. That, in combination with the steam/smoke, fill the picture with contradictory movement, imbuing an otherwise serene scene with uncanny energy.

Sublime, Rob. Masterfully observed and composed, extraordinary lighting, multiple depths and strands of meaning. And it has the bonus of powerful personal resonances for me.
