The photo was taken by Terry Sullivan, Ken's climbing partner that day. This was an early ascent using a description on a fag packet! Ken recalls it been poorly protected and serious...I posted this photo because it clearly shows what gear we had in those days [the Moac on a sling hanging from Ken's neck was about the best bit of kit they had].
Ken and I repeated the route in 1972...with more modern gear his only comments were, " great climbing, and well protected."
