Wonderful photo Luca. Super detail.

Classic photo Luca, hope all is well with you.

Something unusual here as it looks like a painting. Pity about the white halo. Is it possible to remove that?
Sean Kelly - 29/Jun/20
Thanks Sean. I know what you mean, but I'm not sure what's caused it. It's like that on the raw so I think it's something to do with the way the camera captured the contrast of the sky and the illuminated rock.

Ah, yes Luca. I just noticed that you are shooting on a compact so it could be lens aberration. There is a simple fix in Photoshop, not sure about LR. I always run this fix in PS with a RAW image. If you haven't got software to sort it, post the RAW image to me and I will try and sort it, because otherwise you have a stunning image.

It’s a quick fix in LR too, but doesn’t sort it in this instance, I think it’s something else. Also compounded by the fact I only have the jpg after the big exploding hard drive disaster of 2018...

Well the other thought that occurred to me was sharpening. It is very easy to overcook this aspect of processing and can produce a halo effect. Go back to your RAW image and reprocessing, and be careful with your sharpening. Does LR have the High Pass facility for sharpening. If it does, set to .3

I lost the RAW in 2018, any sharpening is baked into the jpg, it's a shame really, not much I can do about it!
