I've still got my peg hammer like the one in your photo and a few pegs as well. Unfortunately lost my beloved stubia axe a few ago, i was gutted at the time. Great photo brings back a few memories.

Looking at our gear again struck by the mish mash here. My long £4 ice axe from my first trip to the alps and then the long bi colour thin rope which was cutting edge for the time. My climbing partner had seen it in an ad just before we went. Climbing on a single no 3 or 4 rope was still the norm then. This was well below that.
