Love the soft, rising shadow edge at the bottom of the needle.

Indeed. Let's be honest, Napes Needle is a pretty insignificant piece of rock so perhaps a different approach needed to be made, to give the scene 'character'. OK I'm probably talking out of my arse but that's my 2 cents worth !

This photo is awful. Overdone with, I think, photoshop. The result is a photo that looks like a painting done by someone who doesn't understand light. It doesn't look real and nothing like any conditions on the hill that I've ever seen. Have a 1 and that's for having the cheek to post it.
