Light trail left by Dave Wilkinson and Bill Church's headtorches during their attempt to make a first ascent of a Karakorum peak during the British Nushik Expedition 1996. The end of the trail marks the high point!
(Light from a meteor is visible lower left of centre)

Very nice and unusual image. Like this loads.

There is so much light on this trail that I thought at first: "this must be a ski resort"!

Nice photo. Why did they turn around?
Jamie Hageman - 26/Mar/19
Cheers Jamie, they were stopped by a 'final ridge of tottering piano- sized blocks of rock' and as Dave later said: 'The flesh pots beckoned, so we retreated'.

(I should add, the 'fleshpots' comprised a dusty basecamp with the dregs of some homebrew festering in the bottom of an expedition blue barrel)

Oh lovely, I can just imagine!
