Very cool

That looks incredibly green James, really nasty to climb. Funnily enough I was up there yesterday with my dog, having a longish tramp. There was chaos on the road below as everyone and his sledge was out yesterday. It was certainly bitter in that wind!

Am pleased you had an enjoyable wintry walk. I suspect that once a few
minutes from the car you managed a little peace and quiet. Haytor was not
my first option, but once I had slithered up from Ashburton, I didn't much
fancy the road over to Bonehill and Hound Tor: Lots of abandoned cars and
truly icy. Framing a decent image in the dark is always tricky but this
worked out ok. The red in the sky is I think, mostly from Exeter lighting
the ice crystals blown in the air. Very windy so cold standing still for
long periods. Wrapped the dog up in an old belay jacket.
