Thanks for the great comments. Al, it's a fantastic camera that belongs to a pro in Inverness who takes photos of all my paintings for me. It's a serious bit of kit. Eroica64, I work from photos and sketches and imagination, and my final paintings are always fantastical and dreamlike, but painted in a generally convincing realist style. As you can see, I love to paint the detail of the mountain environment and am always amazed at its organised chaos (bit like my studio)
