Excellent, looks like it should be in some Norse epic film or similar.

What a light and what a location! These soft but grand Icelandic pictures are quite a contrast to your Dolomites collection, but just right for Iceland. Beautifully executed

Soft? I was thinking I'd like to see a softer version!

Thanks very much Michael and Stewart!
Robert he’s referring to the light which is very soft. There was no direct light on the land and the highlights have been taken down a touch. There is very little mid tone contrast, few shadows and no sharpening.
Your bugbear is probably with the colours. But believe it or not the image has actually been desaturated a little, especially the greens. It was the best sunset I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing here, and I’ve rarely missed one in 6 months.

In that case I take back my comment. It just looked overprocessed to me; that's the trouble with so many overprocessed shots around - it can be hard to tell when it is genuinely wonderful light.
