We started our climbing from the mountain hut straight up to the Càrn Mòr Dearg peak. Losing my ice axe on the previous day made it super sketchy when the deep snow turned to ice on the steep side. All I had is a cheap crampon from eBay and a wooden stick that I tried to force into the ice. Luckily, we made it to the ridge, where we had to cross under poor conditions to reach Ben Nevis, where we had zero visibility to enjoy to stunning view...
Totally worth it.
