-17°C windchill which seemed ok as we crossed Cummeenapeasta Ridge and headed for Carrauntoohil. A mini whirlwind came too close to me 5 minutes after taking this shot which stopped me in my tracks as it was on the route ahead, it made me pay attention and get ready to dive on the ground! I dare not take out the camera even though it would have made a great photo as I've seen how strong these things can be. It just passed me by as close as 15' - 20' and then I was able to walk onwards!
