Brill would make a great subject for your next painting

Excellent Jamie.

Thanks! This is a right place, right time kind of shot. I went for a morning walk up Beinn Bhan and was lucky to have all sorts of great mist effects around me as I climbed higher. There was a beautiful cloud sea over Glen Nevis too. I wonder what a decent SLR would give me, in terms of better image quality?

Yes thats a 5 all day long wonderful shot , I do feel sometimes people are looking at the mountain rather than the photo when giving a 5 , just a thought.

Wonderful photo and so true right place right time but you've still got to go. I think you know the answer to your own question Jamie but the rx100 is a fantastic camera too and so much more portable. I almost traded my 5d mii for a rx100 recently for a trip then the rear screen went kaput!

Yes I think I do. It's been twelve years since I stopped using my big old Pentax SLR. Maybe it's time to go large again.
