2.5m wide - I had to hire a van to take it to the framer. Plenty of detail including climbers heading for Northeast Buttress, Zero Gully and me on Tower Ridge. Not possible to see on this measly 250kb image

Excellent painting - have a 5. (How long does it take you to create something like this?)

Have a 5 excellent work!

Thanks! Fraser, it took me nearly four months to paint this. Then there's the trips out to the viewpoint, sketches, planning, priming etc - a big job. Nice to get back to a regular-sized canvas now (Mamores winter).

love it! Is it acrylic (currently wrestling with water colours!)?
Simonfarfaraway - 21/Dec/17
Yes it is Simon. If you're interested, I use Jo Sonja acrylics from Australia - great range of colours, good pigments and they flow nicely. Have fun with your watercolours!

Viewed from below the CMD arete I assume Jamie? I didn't realise that the NEB was as narrow as that, but I suppose it all depends on the viewpoint.

Yes Sean, a great viewpoint. Not a logical place to go other than to see the view open up, and Northeast Buttress takes your breath away - go there, you'll be amazed.
