I got in touch with the RSPCA and they (eventually) said they'd go look into it...never heard back from them after that, so don't know if it was rescued.
It was there at least 4 days from when I first spotted it. Haven't been back for a while though, so who knows what happened to the old gal!

Sheep Update: Just looking at the public logbooks of Slab Climb, on 29th Aug "Cornish boy" mentions seeing a gruesome dead sheep at the bottom of the crag. So there ends the tale of the crag-fast sheep.
Looks like none of the people I alerted gave a shit about this animal! Can't say I didn't try... :(
