What is that in the foreground? It looks like a bivvy. Superb cloud formation though.

The cloud formation was beautiful, but I was really worried at the time it would mean high winds when we got to the summit ridge. The clouds burnt off though, and it was a pleasant climb in the afternoon under amazing blue skies.
In the foreground is just a bunch of rocks and ice of the glaciar. Higher resolution shows it better. Thanks for the comments!

AT the risk of sounding a bit thick, where were you exactly when you took it and what are we looking at?

Along the Grands Mullets route on the way up to the summit, at sunrise. As I recall we were about halfway to the summit. The photo is along the Mont Blanc ridge in between Mont Blanc du Tacul and the main summit... I can't remember where along that long ridge the two rock/cliffs shown are (whether to the left or to the right of Mont Maudit).
