What are the white lines across the bottom third of the photo?

The white line is a fence, which is a feature of the Argentinian landscape. The early settlers were given land provided they fenced it. Many of the estancias (farms) are 60,000 hectares say 30 Km by 20 k - big but very low density sheep and cattle.
