This is the classic whiteout picture. There is complete snow cover(from 900m), low cloud and it is gently snowing. Visibility is 5 to 10m and it is difficult to tell earth from sky.
Alan Chishom from Inverness is standing on the summit plateau of Ben Nevis. It's not a winter photograph. It was taken just before noon two days after mid-summer (probably 1989).
