Thanks very much guys. Couldn't decide which I preferred so thought I'd put them both up. Might try a 2x teleconverter at some point at 800mm for some proper moon detail.

Yes, I prefer the cragginess, sharpness and outline of the mountain in this pic, and the relative size of the moon, the proximity of the moon to the mountain and the cradling effect in the other. Difficult choice.

A friend of mine did the first winter ascent of the South Face here in the 70's, with temps around -20's C. Great photo as always James!

Mmmm 80.0-400.0 mm f/4.5-5.6 nice have been tempted for a while wonder if there will be any offers on black friday :-)
