There was quite a bit of ice, lower down the stream was covered in 2cm thick ice (which we broke lots of, for the tinkling noises!) -there wasn't any water under the ice lower down.
Higher up, on the falls there was quite a bit of ice but some of it was thin. Climbable though, if you choose carefully!
