This was a totally unplanned shot - I was walking on Stanage taking photos in beautiful autumn light and what should I see but Ron Fawcett soloing routes. In realised a couple of weeks later when the article about his girdle traverse that I had accidentally captured a moment of climbing history. This image only came to light again recently because I have been scanning every negative and slide I'd ever taken (mad!),
