Good winter shot - and the route looks pretty meaty here for its grade!

I really like this shot. Composition, colours, atmosphere. I don't think you actually have (as the result is quite subtle) but it's almost like one of those shots with everything bleached to B&W other than the person. It's a 5 !

Really like the style of your photos, Ben. If I had to guess at how it was done, I'd say you were stenciling out the climber and overexposing the background - but I get the impression it's nothing so complicated.

I've been wondering that too! Very striking, but can't decide whether whatever it is is "cheating" or not....
