Its the actual moon, no photoshop or trickery just very lucky timing on a perfect evening.

Nice one fella, I was one of the two guys you met on the walk in to Ghreadaidh and Mhadaidh during the week. This picture is a cracker, all the best with the rest of the adventures !

Sorry, I wasn't trying to make a comment on any kind of foul play that may have occurred during the production of this image. Just thought "Moon on a Stick" might make for a better title. Incidentally, I did give you a 5 at the point of my earlier comment :-)

Cheers guys, It was a fantastic day out :) and no worries Mark...given the location I thought about "Moon on a pin-point" as a name too.

Guaranteed photo of the week Will, outstanding stuff!

Bet that was a memorable evening - very atmospheric. The island in the background is, I think, Soay - where Gavin Maxwell attempted to establish a basking shark proessing factory. Thankfully it proved to be commercially unviable.

Ha ha. Lovely.

Cracker! Brings back good memories of balmy times above the clouds this year.
(Eigg behind btw)
