Cheers! Photograph taken after 4h summer snow storm over Midi.
Kamil Tamiola - 07/May/12
Lovely photo. nice and simplistic. did you blurred the foreground after?
Dream
- 07/May/12
Nope! I only did color processing. The blur is comes from shooting at 2.8 with 200mm lens on a Nikon D3s body.
Kamil Tamiola - 07/May/12
A wonderful image, simple yet stunning.

Thank you Sean. Taken with Nikon D3S + Nikkor 70-200 f2.8. Aperture priority at f2.8, ISO200 -0.66EV to compensate for the super bright snow!

Just fantastic composition, if you were painting the scene from your imagination it wouldn't look this good.

Assuming the clients are the two behind, they look fuc....
The Bushman

Yes, the clients were lagging behind. I think they were coming back from Mont Blanc.
Kamil Tamiola - 15/May/12
Great pic. The intensity of colour and detail of the figures contrasts brilliantly with the pared down landscape. Composition is spot on.

A really great image. Good light and perfect composition.

Cheers Chris! I will be shooting for RAB next week (26th - 2nd June) in Chamonix! Perhaps somebody is around that time?!
Kamil Tamiola - 20/May/12
Congrats on shot of the week! :D

A stunning photo. I wish I was there!

I'm a bit baffled that you would under-expose to compensate for the bright snow. Automatic exposures tend to dramatically underexpose bright images like this. Splendid image, by the way. Like your website too!

Cheers Dan! I am using Nikon D3s and at least this "baby" requires exposure to be dialed down by -0.33EV / -0.66EV.
Kamil Tamiola - 22/May/12
I find most digital cameras need some under exposure for better colour and highlight detail. :-)
