What aperture setting did you use on this? I've not managed to reproduce the 'starburst' sun so easily achievable with film, that you've managed to do here. I'm intrigued.

The camera details and settings were: Canon 5D Mk II with 24-105mm set at 24mm, f14 and 1/100th and ISO 100. As far as I understand, you stand a greater chance of star burst with the smallest aperture on the widest lens. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

The rule with film always used to be f16 or smaller for a starburst. In theory the 5D with same size sensor as 35mm film should behave the same way. Thanks for the info...lovely photo!

Thanks Dave,
coincidentally I'm just going through your gallery right now, some great photos. I see you were around Tso Moriri in Ladakh, we are planning a trip this summer somewhere around there. Do you know much about the Zanskar area? I'd be grateful for any info. You can find my contact details here: lakespanorama.co.uk
