Can you explain how you got this effect? Is it one still shot with one long, overlaid?

Hi, this is one 10 second exposure with camera on tripod; I set off a single flash when the runners were in position. They all ran from off screen on the right to past my camera positions so I could record the trails of their head torches respectively on head, chest and waist level. The long exposure records the bright head torch light but as it's dark the runners are only fully illuminated by the flash. The head torch light has illuminated the ground and the movement of legs. 10 seconds on F8, ISO 100, 24-105mm lens set at 28mm on Canon 5D MkII. Hope that helps.
