The Sefton Bivouac is a small, historic hut in Aoraki (Mt Cook) NP. It's about 1000m down to the floor of the Hooker Valley from the front door... the hut is just visible in the other picture of Mt Sefton in this gallery. Great place to be.

Funny how NZ valleys are very distinctive to the country. I looked at this before seeing the caption and thought "is that somewhere on the Rees Dart". Looks like a great spot.
