That looks an amazingly fast exposure for a night time shot, there's hardly any star movement! Very impressive!!

I can't sing the praises of the Canon 5D MkII enough, especially the low light performance. You are right about a fast exposure, it was 25 seconds at ISO 400 and F5.0. I use the long exposure noise reduction feature in the camera which is brilliant but takes time (same length of time as the shutter speed). I used a Sigma 12-24mm lens set at 17mm.
