Why is the snow purple?

That'll be algae! No, I under-exposed to saturate the colours of the sunset so the foreground was black, I have brightened the foreground slightly (RAW processing) and it has made the snow that colour. I didn't need to saturate further, it is already almost unbelievable. I typically under-expose 1/3 to 2/3 of a stop.
