We were told that some French had been avalanched at the foot of Tower Gully. It later transpired that it was actually Garadh Gully! The snow was in very dangerous condition as it had deposited nearly a metre of snow the previous weekend and hence why we were on the Ridge. It was possible to ski all the way down to the cars at Nevis Range!!
