Wow - Very jealous of both photographer and climber. Looks perfect.
hobblingfool - 17/Mar/11
Magical... I want to go....
Ronaldo - 17/Mar/11
How come the trees are casting shadows but the climber isnt,is he a Vampire?
deepstar - 17/Mar/11
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Deepstar: That confused me at first, I think it's because that part of the rock doesn't actually get much sunlight at that time of day, it looks bright because I used an ND Grad filter
Nick Brown - UKC - 17/Mar/11
pessimistic maybe but climber looks 'artificial'
BedRock - 17/Mar/11
Not a lot I can do about that...

If ever there was a photo to reinforce why I live where I do, this is it. Perfect.

Thats a really brilliant shot! I don't think there is much more to say...
Luke.addison - 20/Mar/11
Amazing! If only black rocks always looked so good!
oliver.ghill91 - 20/Mar/11
The climber is in the shade so he wouldn't cast much shadow.
RichJ634 - 20/Mar/11
The thumbnail can't do justice to this photo. It really just looked like an average woodland piccy, but in reality it's so much more than that! Excellent mood, light and presense.
Sean Kelly - 21/Mar/11
Nice work Nick, that's dynamite.
Adam Long - 21/Mar/11
Thanks everyone!

Excellent! I love the light in this, really makes the scene magical!
stranter - 22/Mar/11
I think this is the best grit climbing photo I have ever seen. Sums up that it isn't just about the climbs but the atmosphere they are in. Superb.
smithaldo - 22/Mar/11
Marvellous.
simes303 - 23/Mar/11

How it makes me sad!
