Great shot, you get a great sense of scale and exposure while showing the beauty of the landscape.... very nice.

yeah, nice one, looks really 'out there' for a severe!

I think that it took over an hour waiting for the climber to get to this position and the right light to illuminate both the climber and background. When I set out the clouds were down to valley level but you never can tell what the weather is going to do. Probably the best shot of a very wet 2 weeks. Well, that's the British summer for you!

Great shot, reminds me of how much I've got to go and climb there.
Dave Foster - 23/Aug/10
Well worth the wait, Sean, superb!

nice, I still think 'neil the weak's pic of gimmer is nicer though'. biased? yeah maybe. this is a 5 aswell tho.
Sean Bell - 17/Dec/10
Two very different images Sean. Neil's photo is about the interaction of the climber with the crag, my photo is about the crag and it's setting within the landscape, ie. Langdale. Thanks for the vote.

Just seen this, what a fantastic shot. All that is great about climbing on Lakeland mountain crags.
Skyfall - 24/Oct/11
Now to be on the cover of the new Lakes guide.

Looks a bit oversaturated to me?
A Random Climber - 28/Jun/17
Just lucky with the weather conditions as it had recently stopped raining, which does tend to clear the air. Clearest conditions usually occur in the winter with a northerly airflow. It doesn't look overtly over-saturated on my screen, and indeed looks OK in the recent Wired Guide.
