The crucial runner some 4 feet below him had just rattled down the rope leaving him looking at a deck fall for the rest of the pitch. He was very cool.

What happened to the drilled peg placements - are they still used or is it all on trad gear now?

Drilled peg placements are still there, but Toru did not want to use them!! Only four runners on the route and the crucial third one fell out!!!
